Social Value UK are proud to announce Change Grow Live as Social Value Pioneers!
Change Grow Live is a national charity, they deliver services across England, Wales and Scotland.
They have a growing number of services with Social Value commitments included within contractual reporting and are committed as an organisation to recognising the benefits of Social Value, matching their aims and priorities to the Social Value principles, detailing our approach to Social Value and measuring and reporting progress.
In their East Lancashire service they have worked with the Social Value Business to achieve the Social Value quality mark level 3.
Change Grow Live exists to help people achieve their goals, to be the best that they can be, and to help change society for the better. This is true whether talking about the people who use their services, their staff, or their volunteers.
Change Grow Live’s aim is to work together to challenge stigma and oppression. They want their charity to be a place where staff and people who use the services are respected and engaged. Ultimately they want to make life safer, easier and better for as many people as possible.
Ahead of their joining, we spoke to Change Grow Live about their social value journey:
Why do you think social value is important? In your organisation, your industry or in wider society?
As a large organisation, social value is intrinsic to everything we do, we have a responsibility to look after the world in which we live in and it can help us to make decisions about where to prioritise resources.
Social value fits with our strategy and mission, by applying the principles of social value it will support us to capture the changes made by us and by individuals and communities through the support they receive and the services we provide.
Does your organisation have a background in social value/social accounting/SROI?
We have a growing number of services with Social Value commitments included within contractual reporting and we are committed as an organisation to recognising the benefits of Social Value, matching our aims and priorities to our Social Value principles, detailing our approach to Social Value and measuring and reporting progress.
What are your plans for your SVUK membership?
In the coming months, we are hoping to achieve our Level 1 Social Value Management Certificate through Social Value UK.
We are also keen to link into regional meetings and events as our work spans the country, we are looking to grow our knowledge, experience, and network through Social Value UK.
Change Grow Live are excited to be Pioneer members of Social Value UK. As an organisation we are not in control of everything that impacts upon the people who use our services. However, we are in control of what we do, how we behave and where we focus our expertise, resources and energy, this fits perfectly with the principles of Social Value and we look forward to growing in this area.
