Social Value International, with support from Joint Member Network Social Value UK, have launched a revamped Practitioner Status Pathway creating three new levels for professional development; ‘Associate’, ‘Accredited’ and ‘Advanced’ Practitioner status. In addition, SVI also launches today a brand-new package of online support led the Practitioner Package a 12-month tailored support programme.
A new tiered Practitioner Status Pathway
Social Value International are launching a new tiered pathway for SVI Practitioners.
On being an Accredited Practitioner, Hannah Marsh of Kingfisher Ltd stated:
‘On a professional level, I have found that being an SVI Practitioner has been invaluable. Professionally, as a consultant, it gives my clients an added level of confidence and adds weight to the whole process – particularly those that are less aware of Social Value to begin with.’
This pathway will see SVI practitioners develop their skills, knowledge and practice in social value, impact management and the practical application of the SVI framework in social impact assessment and SROI. The SVI Framework is guided first and foremost by the Social Value Principles and supported by guidance and standards. This pathway is designed to ensure that individuals across the SVI network have a good level of technical understanding theoretically and in practice. This then also becomes the pre-requisite for being an accredited SVI trainer and for provision of the SVI assurance and accreditation services.
There are now three levels of Practitioner status.
Ben Carpenter, SVI CEO states:
“This is a very exciting development for our members and the emerging profession. We have listened to our members and responded by designing two new levels of practitioner status. We look forward to continuing to work with members as we continue to create standards of best practice.”
Catherine Manning, SVI Assurance Manager says:
“The launch of an individual accreditation level recognising a strong theoretical knowledge of social value and impact management is a huge step forward for the professionalisation of the sector. There are many people with a solid understanding of the SVI Framework, and the purpose of impact management, who can now test their knowledge and skills through our first SVI social value and impact management exam and be formally recognised through the new Associate level.”
