At Social Value UK we are proud to announce Cenefits as Social Value Partners!
Cenefits is a web and mobile application which makes it easy for organisations to manage and assess the community benefits / social value that they’ve added to their contracts.
Cenefits would like the majority of public sector organisations in the UK and Ireland to use their platform so that there is a common platform for organisations commissioning work and suppliers delivering it to record and report on social value.
Ahead of Cenefits joining Social Value UK, we had a chat to them about their journey with social value so far.
Why do you think social value is important? In your organisation, your industry or in wider society?
Social value is important because it allows public expenditure to go further than just delivering the thing that a public sector organisation requires, and it gives organisations an opportunity to engage with and provide real social, economic and environmental benefit to local people living in communities across the country.
Does your organisation have a background in social value/social accounting/SROI?
We are a Software as a Service provider so I don’t think this question is completely relevant to us.
Our main customers to date are City of Edinburgh Council and Glasgow City Region City Deal, w ho are using our software to automate the capture of social value in their contracts and report on it internally and to the Scottish Government. They hope to reduce the amount of manual work they do and to be able to focus on the details and celebrate the success stories.
How do you hope to work collaboratively with Social Value UK?
We hope to attend events in Scotland and around the UK and Ireland, contributing our ideas and experiences and demonstrating our software. The more feedback we can get the better we can make our application, both in terms of its features and how easy and enjoyable the user experience is.
Tom Inglish, Managing Director of Cenefits stated:
“We joined Social Value UK as a Partner so that we can promote our community benefits / social value software, Cenefits, and so that we can engage with and learn from the many inspirational organisations who are working across the country to understand and incorporate social value into what they do.”
Please get in touch with Tom Inglis, Managing Director of Cenefits, if you wish to know more about their social value journey!
