At Social Value UK we’re proud to announce Coalition for Efficiency as Social Value Partners.
Coalition for Efficiency (CfE) is a small, highly collaborative organisation that exists to help other social purpose organisations become more efficient and effective and focus on maximising their impact. Since 2012 we are offering our flagship programme Measuring the Good to predominantly small organisations to help them develop relevant skills, increase their confidence and develop a learning culture so that they become more robust and efficient. We are an Inspiring Impact champion and seek opportunities to connect with others and share learning.
Ahead of joining, we asked Coalition for Efficiency a few questions about their social value journey so far.
Why do you think social value is important? In your organisation, your industry or in wider society?
For us at CfE, social value plays a significant role in helping us understand how the organisations we support, and indirectly their beneficiaries, benefit from our programmes and which strands of our work have the highest potential for positive change so that we can maximise our impact. Generally, we find that organisations that include social value in their evaluation work have different and more engaged conversations with their stakeholders and they have a stronger narrative of the change they are seeking to bring about.
Does your organisation have a background in social value/social accounting/SROI?
Our Programme Director completed a course in SROI in a previous role, but generally we are starting on this journey and have yet to complete any reports.
How do you hope to work collaboratively with Social Value UK?
We hope to draw on our joint strengths to support more small organisations with their impact management and demystify social value which for a lot of the organisations we work with seems complicated and scary!
Angela Schlenkhoff-Hus, Programme Director of CFE stated: ‘We have been following Social Value UK’s work for a while as members and regularly recommend its resources to the small organisations we support. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to working much more closely with Social Value UK.’
