Social Value UK is proud to announce Deloitte have joined us as a Organisational members! Ahead of their joining, Social Value UK spoke to them about their social value journey so far.

We’re made up of 22,000 professionals, with a wide range of specialist skills, who our clients rely on to help them with programmes and projects that are critical to their success.
Today, the role of business in helping respond to society’s biggest challenges has never been more important. We are committed to playing a leading role in building trust in business, driving more inclusive and sustainable growth, and enhancing skills, education, and inclusion for all. Social Value is a catalyst to help us collaborate for and deliver a measurable impact that matters.
A key part of our purpose and our social impact strategy is our 5 Million Futures programme, through which we aim to support over 5 million people by 2030 by helping them to develop job skills, improve educational outcomes and gain access to employment opportunities.
In the last three years, volunteers for Deloitte’s 5 Million Futures programme have clocked up more than 80,000 volunteering hours and 30,000 hours of pro-bono work, making an impact on over 900,000 futures in the UK.
Why do you think social value is important? In your organisation, your industry or in wider society?
Social value provides a way to deliver tangible action on the pressing topics of today, and that will shape the world in future: from fighting climate change to tackling social injustice, recovering from COVID-19 to combatting economic inequality. Delivering social value with tangible impact that matters is core to our business, brought to life through a focus on supporting inclusive and sustainable growth with our clients, people and communities in which we work.
What are your plans for your SVUK membership?
We are very excited to be joining SVUK. We look forward to attending the workshops and training on offer, as well as connecting, collaborating and learning from likeminded organisations – sharing our Social Value experience so far and growing our thinking around social impact and reporting.
