We are pleased to announce that Social adVentures, a Salford based social enterprise, has become the newest organisational member to join the SROI Network, soon to be Social Value UK.
Social adVentures work with local people to help to achieve their vision of all citizens having a happier and healthier life. They have two centres to help them make this vision a reality: The Angel Centre and Garden Needs.
Social adVentures will be using SROI principles to help them develop their project New Roots for People Living with Dementia. They are aiming to use the SROI principles from the very beginning of the project in order to build their learning and allow any lessons learned to be used in other areas of the business.
Emma Smith, Service Director at Social adVentures, says ‘SROI have offered a fantastic new approach for Social adVentures and its partners working around New Roots in Salford. We are excited to be part of the network and to be starting a new journey with the support and backing of the SROI team.’
The SROI Network, soon to be Social Value UK, are very pleased to welcome Social adVentures and we look forward to working with them to support and promote the measurement and management of social value.

About Social adVentures | www.socialadventures.org.uk
Social adVentures are a social enterprise incorporated to inspire people to live healthier and happier lives, this is achieved through our centres (The Angel Centre, Children’s Nurseries) and programmes that we develop and deliver.
About the SROI Network | www.thesroinetwork.org
Social Return on Investment (SROI) is a framework for measuring and accounting for the value created or destroyed by our activities – where the concept of value is much broader than that which can be captured by market prices. SROI seeks to reduce inequality and environmental degradation and improve wellbeing by taking account of this broader value.
The SROI Network, soon to be Social Value UK, is an international membership organisation with members in over 40 countries. It exists to support the vision of SROI through the formation of a collaborative network of individuals and organisations dedicated to the practice and support of SROI.
The membership comprises business advisors, academics, funders and individuals representing organisations across all sectors. All members want to influence change through their work; practicing SROI, creating national networks, developing the methodology and gathering examples of SROI and how it is being used.
