There are many resources out there that will assist you in building on what you have already learned at
training. We have included a few below that we think will help you develop and apply the Principles of Social Value to your own work.

Practitioner Package
Social Value International is now offering a 12-month tailored support programme called the Practitioner Package, available online from anywhere in the world.
The Social Value International Practitioner Package is a dedicated online learning platform that will guide you, step-by-step, through an SROI or Social Impact Report. You can access the Practitioner Package here.
The Guide to SROI
This Guide is an update to the 2009 Guide to Social Return on Investment that was published by the Cabinet Office. You can download it for free here.
You can also download the supplements here and the Value Map here.
The Guide is now available in 8 different languages, including Japanese, Spanish and Korean – browse and download the full selection.
The Maximise Your Impact Guide
The Maximise Your Impact Guide was developed within “Know Your Impact: Social Impact Management Tools for Young Social Entrepreneurs” by Estonian Social Enterprise Network, Koç University Social Impact Forum, Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting and Social Value UK. The “Know Your Impact: Social Impact Management Tools for Young Social Entrepreneurs” is funded by Erasmus + programme of the European Union.
Social Value Self-Assessment Tool
The Social Value Self Assessment Tool is a free self-diagnostic designed to give you an idea of how well you are applying the Seven Principles of Social Value. Users receive a report full of tips and advice on how to improve their social value systems and processes. Create your free account.
Practitioner Status Pathway
Social Value International have launched a tiered pathway for practitioners.
The pathway consists of 3 levels, Level 1 – Associate Practitioner, Level 2 – Accredited Practitioner, Level 3 – Advanced Practitioner.

If you’re working on employment interventions, you might find the ‘UK Department for Work and Pensions Social Cost-Benefit Analysis Framework’ useful.
The DWP and HM Treasury produced a discussion report on Valuation Techniques for Social Cost-Benefit Analysis.
There is some good guidance on additionality produced by the Homes and Communities Agency which you can download here.
There are a number of software platforms that exist to help you measure and maximise your social value. View the directory here.

The best way is to become an active member of Social Value UK or Social Value International – not only will you become part of a growing international movement of people campaigning to change the way the world accounts for value, but you will have access to a raft of benefits that will enable you to build networks, learn and develop your skills.
